Full HD 3D Image Display Technology Panasonic uses full-HD sequential playback to achieve a level of reality that far exceeds conventional 3D systems. Called the Frame Sequential Method, it's the same method that is used in Hollywood's 3D films. It reflects Panasonic's commitment to 3D imaging detail. Separate images recorded are in 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution for both the left and right eyes and are alternately displayed at the ultra-high speed of 120 frames per second. Viewing them with high-precision 3D Eyewear produces 3D images in full-HD quality.
Infinite Black Pro
A native contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 enables Panasonic's VIERA TV's to display extremely deep, rich blacks. The VIERA's feature a new panel and improvements to the cell discharge areawhich contributes in dramatically increased contrast when viewing in brightly lit locations. In addition, this helps with reducing the electrical pre-discharge that causes graying and has greatly enhanced black gradation.
600Hz Sub-field Drive
The 600Hz Sub-field drive technology allows you view superb full-HD motion and still images. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data. Each frame is displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects.
1080 Moving Picture Resolution
Panasonic VIERA plasma TVs feature 1080 lines of moving picture resolution. You enjoy clearer, more detailed images even in fast-moving scenes with virtually no blurring or ghosting. The NeoPDP technology's high-speed drive performance instantly generates a large electrical discharge and shortens the display time for each image frame to minimize afterimages. Anti-Reflection Filter
The Anti-Reflective Filter keeps images looking sharp, with minimal glare. While dramatically reducing reflections from external light, this technology helps to produce clear images and maintain a wide range of colour.
THX Certified Display
THX reproduces movie images exactly as the movie's creators intended them to be. The overall purpose is to improve the experience of cinema-goers and faithfully recreate the audio and visual ambience that filmmakers intended. To receive THX certification, TVs undergo a series of tests to determine, whether the exact same brightness and color are displayed at all screen locations, and whether black levels satisfy standard criteria. Panasonic VIERA TV's meet the high standards set by the THX Certified Display Program.
x.v. Colour
The x.v.Colour standard enables faithful recording and reproduction of the colours seen in nature. This is something that was simply not possible with previous systems. X.v. Colour expresses the spatial depth and texture of natural materials with a high level of accuracy.
Deep Colour
Deep Colour is an image enhancing technology that is supported by HDMI 1.3. It offers outstanding colour gradation that exceeds the capability of conventional colour systems. Panasonic's VIERA supports the Deep Colour standard which expresses natural colours to maximize the beauty of images from high-quality sources.
VIERA Cast
The VIERA CAST is an assorted online content database that just keeps getting better. It now offering Pandora, exciting sports content from Fox Sports, "tweet" web communications via Twitter and even home video and audio conferencing from Skype. In addition, it provides USB terminals for a USB Keyboard and Wireless LAN Adaptor - no PC required.
Wi-Fi Ready
The Wi-Fi ready feature makes VIERA's home network very convenient. All you need to do for a Wi-Fi connection is to plug the Wireless LAN Adaptor into VIERA's USB port and just sit back and enjoy VIERA CAST content in your living space or anywhere else, without having to connect any cables.
VIERA Image Viewer
Enjoy viewing full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show-off your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. Once your SD Card is in, youre are greeted by an easy-to-see, easy-to-use thumbnail display. Special new slideshow frames, and an increased number of display effects are also included. In addition, Photo Enhancement mode makes photo colors richer and more vibrant. Messages and memos may also be added to photos from a PC.
VIERA Link
VIERA Link allows the interlinked operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable.
USB Connection
Use the USB terminal to watch PC-stored photos and videos, or listen to music, on your large-screen Panasonic VIERA TV. Similar to VIERA Image Viewer, you can enjoy a variety of easy-to-use functions, such as slideshows and thumbnail displays. A USB Keyboard and Wireless LAN Adaptor may also be connected for a more comfortable VIERA CAST experience.
VIERA Tools
The VIERA Tools user interface makes it easy to use access key functions by pressing a single button. Functions are easier to use, and there's no complicated operation. The explanation is displayed when you press the function's button.
Game Mode
In Game Mode, quicker image response increases the enjoyment of video games when a game console is connected to the TV. In addition, VIERA produces the dark images in video games more clearly. This mode also works with the anti-image retention function.

Energy Star 4.0
The entire 2010 VIERA line-up meets the Energy Star 4.0 requirements. New plasma technology has increased the luminous efficiency. In addition, the power consumption has been reduced by 40% compared to last year's plasma HDTV models.
Native Contrast Ratio
Native Contrast is expressed as a ratio of the minimum of luminance levels of blacks and the maximum of luminance levels of whites that are displayed and measured at the same time on the same screen in a dark room on a plasma panel module.
RS232c
RS-232 is a standard for serial binary single-ended data and control signals connecting between a DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) and a DCE (Data Circuit-terminating Equipment). It is commonly used in computer serial ports.
